Your Coach: Taylor Fragomeni

Taylor has been climbing since May 2011. While she currently specializes in performance sport climbing, she has also enjoyed periods of bouldering, endured a season of ice climbing, and got her start as a trad climber in the Adirondack Mountains of Upstate New York. She was a quick convert to the climbing lifestyle, promptly turning it into a career both routesetting and coaching, with the occasional summer guiding both locally and abroad.
Her passions lie in both learning and teaching and she appreciates the complete demands that climbing places on the body and mind, making it a unique lens and mirror for growth.
Taylor has a penchant for technical movement, beta recall, and unorthodox crux solutions. She loves discussing the nuance of both body position and mental position, and years of working with competitive youth athletes has given her a discernible edge on discussing headgame with intentional and actionable language.
Taylor is thoroughly fascinated by the lessons that climbing has to teach and the vulnerabilities it exposes in its participants. Her coaching consists of collaborative processes and is inquiry driven and educationally based.
When she’s not coaching or climbing, she usually has a book in her hands, a pen on paper, or a delicious plant-full meal on the stove. Or, you might catch her dancing (poorly) to some house music.
